New Social Networking Sites for Women
Women are starting new businesses in the U.S. at break-neck speed, and the need for new social networking sites for women has increased significantly. Currently just 16% of the total number of U.S. small businesses is owned by women. A recent report released by The Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute projects that female-owned small businesses will be responsible for creating one-third of the 15.3 million new jobs anticipated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics by 2018. The Institute expects that women who own small businesses will create from 5 million to 5.5 million new jobs across the U.S. by 2018.
Wow, so what is a good way for women to accelerate their own small business growth? Many find that joining a social network for women can be a fantastic way to not only find support from other working females, but to also network with people that can become potential investors, employees, friends, vendors, and business partners. What resources do you currently have and what more do you need to obtain? What kind of mentor could help you at the stage you are currently at?
